Step 3: Understand the Logic [1 Min]

Before diving in, it's crucial to grasp the mechanics of grid scalping. In essence, a grid scalping system involves opening multiple trades to average out losses if the market moves against your position. This is particularly effective with the US Dollar/Japanese Yen pair on the one-hour timeframe, with the bot boasting a 90% win rate in this setup. However, it's imperative to proceed with caution; if mismanaged, this strategy can lead to significant drawdowns.

Pair & Timeframe: USD/JPY on 1H (or your choice)

Setup Trigger: Every candle close, check fast EMA(20) vs. slow EMA(200):

Entry Rule: On bias confirmation, market-enter 0.01 lot. If price moves X pips (default 10 pips) against you, add same-sized trade.

Risk: No hard SL by default (grid caps downside)

Reward: Close ALL open trades when cumulative profit ≥ $10 (or your target)

R:R: ~1:10 (win ~90–95%)

Step 4: Make It Your Own [10 Min]

One of the major advantages of using this Grid Scalping Bot is its adaptability. By incorporating additional indicators and personal logic, you can tailor it to better handle market drawdowns. This flexibility ensures that the system evolves from a basic configuration into a sophisticated tool.

Explore Profectus.AI to access the source files and inject your market analysis logic. By assessing existing market conditions—such as using exponential moving averages to dictate entry points—you can effectively decide when to go long or short.

Let's do our first adjustments together - step-by-step:

Adjustment

Screenshots

Change to maximum allowed open trades to 5 aka the grid size.

EXPORT and see what happens:

Fewer trades are taken because we cap the amount to 5. You will realise this system needs further adjustments.

Change the risk per trade from Lot size to 1% of the account balance.

Keep in mind to change it for all Sell/ Buy blocks!

EXPORT and see what happens:

1% risk per trade is so much mor then the original lot size. You realise to keep your risk in check is half the rent.

Add the Average True Range (ATR) as your new stop loss method.

Keep in mind to change it for all Sell/ Buy blocks!

EXPORT and see what happens:

You realise that the stop loss size adjust to the markets volatility.

Add the session block to restrict your trading bot from trading between 10PM until 2AM. Usually, spreads are much higher and liquidity overall down.

Keep in mind to change it for all Sell/ Buy blocks!

EXPORT and see what happens:

Fewer trades are taken because the trading window got smaller by 4 hours in total.

As the screenshot shows, the trading bot is made to stop all trading if equity drops below 8%. That is an interesting angle to avoid overtrading.

EXPORT and see what happens:

Fewer trades are taken. However, the trading bot needs further adjustments since a grid trading bot requires to enter more trades over time.

Experiment on different pairs and timeframes to match your personal trading style.
