Profectus AI has a very helpful feature that will help you to track any value or piece of information you want, on your chart in Metatrader 5. You can use this feature during a visual backtest or when trading your EA live.
The Inputs & Variables section of the builder allows you to display your variables on your chart in Metatrader. You only have to click the "eye" icon next to your variable to activate this feature.
Your values will be visible in the top-left corner of your Metatrader chart when running or visually backtesting the EA.
These variables update live whenever your EA updates them in the logic of your EA.
This feature allows you to track anything you want and to make sure that your EA is doing exactly what you want it to do.
You can also display values you might not need directly in your EA, but which you still want to be able to check at all times. The only thing you need to do:
1. Create a new variable. Give it a name that helps you understand what it's doing
2. Activate the View on Chart function by toggling the "eye" icon to purple next to the variable
3. Attach a Modify Variable block to a Run per candle, Run at time, or Run per tick block (depending on what you want to track and when you want to track it)
4. Specify the variable in the modify Variable block and the function you want to track.
A few examples of what you can do with this function that can be helpful in your building process:
-Track Indicator values. You can assign indicator values to a Variable to track if your EA is using indicators as you designed to use them.
-Track candlestick properties. You can assign candle properties, such as open/high/low/close prices of a specific candle ID to a Variable to see if your EA is responding to the data correctly.
-Trade info. You can assign trade information to a Variable, such as the Open Price of a specific trade or the volume of a specific trade.
-Formulas. You can track the outcomes of your formulas by tracking the calculated variable on your chart. This is helpful if you have complex formulas and want to be sure the outcomes align with what you expect.
To conclude, the View on Chart function is a very helpful feature that can help you to track a lot of information about your EA, your trades, and even your trading account balance while the EA is running.
