This guide walks you through the Supply & Demand BOS zones concept. This is a variation of the basic S&D zones and can be built easily in Profectus AI.
For the basic and full Supply & Demand zones explanation, please read this article!
Traditional Supply & Demand trading often focuses on identifying strong impulsive moves away from price levels. While effective, this approach does not always confirm whether the overall market structure has actually changed.
To remove this uncertainty, we can define Supply & Demand zones only after a confirmed Break of Structure (BOS). This ensures that zones are drawn after control has clearly shifted, rather than during consolidation or potential false moves.
In this framework, structure comes first. Zones are only created once price has proven — objectively — that the prior market structure is no longer valid.

Step 3: Understand the Logic [1 Min]
Structurally, a Demand BOS zone is identified by:
A five-candle fractal high, where the high of candle ID 3 is higher than the highs of the two candles to its left and right.
A bullish candle closing above this fractal high, confirming the Break of Structure (BOS)
The nearest imbalance candle prior to the BOS, whose high does not touch the BOS level, is used to draw the Demand zone
These characteristics make this iteration of Demand zones objective zones of interest rather than subjective trade entries.
This concept is only slightly more advanced than standard S&D zones, but it’s a very interesting concept to test for yourself. We have incorporated a very simple loop, just like we did for the EMA Demand Zones template, to find the imbalance candle.
We can divide the creation of this no-code EA for Demand BOS zones into 3 steps.
Identifying the BOS level. Using the Run per candle block, we first look to see if we have a structure high using a 5-candle fractal pattern, where the high of the middle candle (CID 3) is higher than the surrounding candles
Defining a break of structure. Monitor for a bullish candle that closes above the identified BOS level, confirming that the previous structure has been invalidated.
Store & Reset the Demand BOS zone price levels. Use a loop to search backward from the BOS candle and identify the nearest imbalance candle whose high does not touch the BOS level. This candle is then used to draw the Demand zone.
And that’s it! It only takes a few minutes to drag-and-drop the blocks and build this Demand BOS zone module in Profectus. You can now add an execution module to start taking trades, or add more rules to refine the Demand BOS zone, or add more confluences to the strategy.
The screenshot below shows what a valid Demand BOS zone looks like on a chart to help you better understand the rules.
