🚨 What’s Happening?
If your:
Pro badge disappeared
Projects look empty
Account suddenly looks brand new
Don’t panic. Your data is not deleted. This is almost always caused by one of two issues:
You logged into a different account method
You had Profectus open in multiple tabs at the same time
Let’s break both down clearly.
Issue 1: Login Method Mix-Up (Most Common)
Why This Happens
Profectus does not merge accounts automatically in the backend.
That means:
Each login method creates a separate account — even if the email address is identical.
Example:
You originally signed up using: Continue with Google
Later you log in using: Email + Password
Result: You now have two separate accounts:

Google Login | Your Pro plan + all projects |
Email Login | Brand new Free account |
It looks like your Pro disappeared — but you are simply inside the wrong account.
How to Fix It
Step 1: Log out completely
Step 2: Go back to the login page
Step 3: Use the exact same method you used during sign-up
If you signed up with Google → click Continue with Google
If you signed up with Email → use Email + Password
Once logged in correctly:
✔ Your Pro badge will reappear
✔ All projects will be visible again
No data is lost.
Issue 2: Multiple Tabs Open (Project Overwrite Risk)
Why This Happens
Profectus syncs your projects live to the Cloud.
If you open Profectus in:
Multiple browser tabs
Multiple browsers
Desktop + Laptop
Home + VPS server
iPad + PC
You can create synchronization conflicts.
What happens:
Tab A saves Project Version 1
Tab B still has old state
Tab B autosaves
→ It overwrites the newer version
This can make projects look empty or reverted.
Important!
⚠️ Profectus should only be open in one tab at a time.
How to Fix It
Detect all current open tabs to recover the desired project state.
Close ALL other Profectus tabs everywhere
Reopen Profectus in a single tab only
Refresh the page once
In most cases, the correct project state reloads.
